I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes, hate in my heart, love in my mind.

BOYS, GUYS, MEN, MALES.
Why do they matter so much? Unfortunately, male being the only other sex besides females, me as a female and many other females connect with a male. A male being the main specimen for a miracle such as a baby, in which most females wish to have makes the connection more valuable. So therefore, the males we connect with as friends, lovers or simply family may play an important role in our lives.
Violence being a big issue and it being impacted on males make us bother with the influence of violence by media on our males, in which it is possible to affect us as well. Although, in the media we have the “ideal male” and the “violent male”. We have the ideal image of males, why should the violent male’s image matter? In my opinion, the violent male mattes more than the ideal male seeing as the media has normalized violent males so much more, that it is more likely to find a violent male rather than an ideal male which are found mainly in the media.
Influence of violence in the male media has made a huge remark worldwide by statistics showing that in the world 90% of violent crimes are committed by males. However, 70% of the victims of violent crimes are also males; this statistic had more of a surprise on me. Although it does surprise me, I could see HOW these statistics are realistic. This shows that yes, most crimes are committed by males, but also majority of the victims are males. This could prove the “ideal male” image by knowing its male to male violence most of the time, rather then male to the female victim; perceiving a protective ideal man against woman. Though, this does show that influence of violence of media is being normalized. In the media for males we have, movies, reality and casual television, music, videos, games in which all involve male violence. For males in the media there is UFC in which male to male boxing fights take place, in which most males are a big fan of, male video games is mainly men to men characters shooting/blowing each other up. Though in my eyes I see it as fighting just being normal/entertainment or even fun for males either involving the media or not. Men tend to grow up as fighting just comes naturally, but it being more of a passion or entertainment to them.
Men are portrayed just as much as women in the media. Though when it comes to influence of violence men are at a higher chance of involvement. Although it’s the same thing of influence of females in media, men are portrayed to cause more violence actions then females usually do.. In females influence of media rarely involves fighting with machinery or any sorts of weapons, nor does the media have pass time hobbies involved influence of violence.

“Boys will be boys”
When I hear this, it makes me think they have the right of way, and everything they do is okay because their males. I feel by this quote being portrayed in media by females themselves encourages the males to think it is okay, and it has some value of power. So, by us saying it we are only encouraging it, although in the media violence Is a big issue. I feel that as boys at a young age they shouldn’t live up to maintain this quote.
